About
We are a chapter of Women In The Wind from Lackawaxen, PA.
Our members come from the NE PA area, as well as neighboring NJ and NY!
Our name “Silver Hawks” was chosen very carefully to reflect our group’s philosophy.
The symbol of silver is associated with intuition, contemplation, tranquility, femininity, inner wisdom, nobility, serenity, purity, experience, and wisdom. Every cloud is said to have a silver lining.
The hawk is known for its visionary power and guardianship. It is very protective of the young in it's nest. It teaches us about providing for family and self. The hawk teaches us to be observant and to pay attention to what we may overlook. This could mean a talent we don't use, or a blessing for which we haven't expressed gratitude. The hawk has keen eyesight, it is about opening our eyes and seeing that which is there to guide us.
We are all different, but our common interest is riding and having fun. We are united through respect, trust and camaraderie.
We meet on the second Monday of each month from 7-9 pm.
The locations vary so please contact us if you are considering attending as a guest,
