Since 2011, we have sponsored an event in September to benefit Relentless Against Cancer. "Relentless" was founded by our friend, Nathan Shatsoff, who in 2009 at the age of 21 was diagnosed with Stage IV colon cancer. Nate fought courageously but lost his battle in 2011, shortly after our first event. For more information about Relentess, go to www.relentlessagainstcancer.org/. Remaining Relentless For Nate, or "Nate's Ride" is typically held the 3rd Sunday in September. Both riders and non-riders attend and a good time is had by all, while raising money for a great cause. Event Basics: For the riders, registration is from 9:30-10:45 am with KSU 11:00 am. For those not doing the ride, arrive at noon to join us for the food, music, door prizes, and all around good time. When Nate was diagnosed, he bought a bike, a Honda Shadow 750 Ace, which he named "Freedom." Those of us who ride understand the relationship between riding and "wind therapy." After Nate passed, one of our members purchased Freedom from Nate's parents, and Freedom leads the way every year in September. He will always ride with us.
